Provide Advanced Resuscitation
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
This unit applies to workers who may be required to use specialised equipment to provide resuscitation in a range of complex situations, include community and workplace settings. Equipment includes the use of emergency oxygen and defibrillators.
The unit is recognised as the required training for first aider’s who need to be able to use emergency oxygen equipment in the workplace under all the various ‘WorkCover’ authorities throughout Australia.
Course covers:
This is Nationally Recognised Training. A Statement of Attainment will be issued following successful completion of this course from our partner RTO Allen’s Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909.
This course is conducted in house at the SFASS Training Centre, or we can come to you for bookings of five or more.
Participants must have the physical capacity to perform 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor.
Face to Face – 6 hours (minimum) full face to face course
Blended delivery – 4 hours (minimum) face to face course with the addition of 2 hour self-paced learning to be completed prior to attending the face to face course
Online delivery with face to face Practical assessment – self paced online learning with a scheduled 1-hour face to face practical assessment
Refresher training – 4 hours (minimum) face to face course – conditions apply for this option, for example, you will need to provide previous current certificates.
Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks.

Payment Terms – Payment for individual participants is upfront, group booking payment terms are based on agreement between the client and service provider.
No work placement will be required as part of this course.
