Provide Advanced Resuscitation
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
This unit applies to workers who may be required to use specialised equipment to provide resuscitation in a range of complex situations, include community and workplace settings. Equipment includes the use of emergency oxygen and defibrillators.
The unit is recognised as the required training for first aider’s who need to be able to use emergency oxygen equipment in the workplace under all the various ‘WorkCover’ authorities throughout Australia.

This is Nationally Recognised Training. A Statement of Attainment will be issued following successful completion of this course from our partner RTO Allen’s Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909.6550
This course is conducted in house at the SFASS Training Centre, or we can come to you for bookings of five or more.
Participants must have the physical capacity to perform the practical demonstrations, such as 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor.
Online study: Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices with access to the internet to complete the online/ pre-course studies.
This course has a pre-requisite of HLTAID011 Provide First Aid which much be completed prior to undertaking this unit of competency.
Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks.
Assessments conducted during face-to-face training session(s) include:
Performance Tasks and Practical Scenarios –
Theory assessment: A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions.
It is recommended that renewal for this course is undertaken every 12 months

No work placement will be required as part of this course.
